A Solemn Decree From Our Founder

As a recently constituted and ceremonially inaugurated establishment within the ancient and much-revered environs of the Shenandoah Valley, we must candidly confess that the annals of our enterprise have not yet had sufficient passage of years to accumulate that imposing catalogue of prior commissions which more time-tempered houses might ostentatiously parade before the public gaze. Nevertheless—permit me to aver this with the utmost sobriety and conviction—my confidence in the superlative exactitude, probity, and almost preternatural fastidiousness of our workmanship remains entirely unassailable. I therefore extend my most deferential gratitude for your magnanimous consideration as we humbly seek those rare and discerning patrons whose confidence shall inaugurate the first chapter in the chronicle of this undertaking.

Should you elect—through an act of generosity for which I should remain permanently indebted—to entrust your grounds and holdings to our stewardship, you possess my most solemn and irrevocable assurance that every blade of grass, hedge, arbor, and thoroughfare shall be attended with a scrupulous diligence bordering upon the monastic. Indeed, it is you, our earliest benefactors, who shall constitute the foundational substratum upon which the enduring edifice of this establishment shall ultimately be erected. Animated as I am by a most ardent and unyielding determination to vindicate the confidence thus reposed in us, I pledge that our execution shall aspire toward such punctilious excellence that even the most captious observer would find himself hard-pressed to identify the slightest imperfection.
